I think it's amazing how impactful your voice combined with the voices of your producer and with your learners can increase instructional impact. I need you to keep all of this in mind as you move closer to going live with virtual training. Sometimes things do go wrong, though. I'm sure this doesn't surprise you. We've all been in situations where the audio is failing, or a learner is disrupting the program, or the virtual classroom just seems to explode. But before you throw your laptop out of the window and you think about a whole new profession, you need to remember this by keeping calm and managing your learner expectations. Almost any problem can be quickly addressed without impacting the quality of the learning. There are other challenges you can anticipate and prepare for, like working with learners on mobile devices or mix mode audiences with some learners are at individual desktops and some are grouped together in the same room. I want to encourage you to work with your producer to implement the Four-Step Disaster Recovery Process you'll learn to apply in the upcoming lesson. Then take a deep breath and celebrate. Being able to recover when things go wrong or just when they're complicated is a sure sign that you're on your way to mastering the art of facilitating in the virtual classroom.
